This home air conditioning installation in Wordsley took a slightly different approach to the multi-split projects we have been completing recently. The customer chose a ceiling cassette for the bedroom, together with two wall-mounted units for the open-plan kitchen and orangery.
The result is a practical mix of indoor unit styles, selected to suit the layout and use of each part of the home.
Ceiling cassette air conditioning for the bedroom
Rather than fitting a conventional wall-mounted unit in the bedroom, this customer opted for a ceiling cassette. Installed into the ceiling, the cassette keeps the main body of the unit out of the room and provides a discreet finish.
Ceiling cassette air conditioning can be particularly useful where the room layout, available wall space or the desired appearance makes a wall-mounted system less suitable. The right option will always depend on the property and the available installation space.
Wall-mounted air conditioning for the kitchen and orangery
The open-plan kitchen and orangery were served by two wall-mounted air conditioning units. Large glazed spaces such as orangeries can become very warm in sunny weather, so being able to control the temperature can make the space much more comfortable through the warmer months.
Modern air conditioning systems can also provide heating as well as cooling, making them useful beyond summer. If you are considering a system for a glazed extension, kitchen or open-plan living space, our air conditioning FAQs answer many of the questions homeowners ask before installation.
Mixing different types of air conditioning in one home
This Wordsley installation is a good example of why there is no single indoor unit style that suits every room. A ceiling cassette worked well in the bedroom, while wall-mounted units were a better fit for the open-plan kitchen and orangery.
When planning domestic air conditioning, we look at how the rooms are used, where equipment can be positioned and how the completed installation will sit within the property.
