For this home in Halesowen, we installed a Mitsubishi multi-split system with two wall-mounted indoor units: a 2.5kW unit in the lounge and a 3.5kW unit on the landing. Both connect to a single 5kW outdoor unit.
The lounge unit serves the main living space, while the landing unit was fitted with upstairs cooling in mind.
A layout chosen for this home
The position of the landing unit is what makes this installation different from fitting a unit in each bedroom. It places the upstairs equipment in a shared space.
That doesn’t make it the right arrangement for every house. If you’re considering a similar setup, we’ll discuss your layout and which rooms you want to cool before recommending where the units should go.
For another approach, see our four-indoor-unit installation in Hagley.
Heating, cooling and Wi-Fi controls
This system provides heating as well as cooling and includes Wi-Fi controls. The electrical work was accompanied by an electrical certificate.
It gives the household an option for cooler months as well as hot weather. Our air conditioning FAQs cover heating, system choices and other questions that often come up before an installation.
Discuss the rooms you want to use
Whether you’re looking at a lounge, bedrooms or an upstairs landing, start with the spaces that matter to you. We can then talk through a suitable arrangement.
