For this four-bedroom detached home in Hagley, Crystal Cooling installed four indoor air conditioning units connected to a single 8kW outdoor condenser. The project took three days, including the pipework and electrical connection.
One outdoor unit for multiple rooms
A multi-split system connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit. Here, that meant fitting air conditioning across four rooms while keeping the equipment outside the house to a single condenser.
For homeowners considering air conditioning in several rooms, it’s an option worth discussing. The right configuration will depend on the property’s layout and the rooms being served. Our air conditioning FAQs cover common questions about planning an installation.
How we completed the AC install’
We ran the pipework through the loft on cable tray and enclosed the external runs in trunking for a tidy finish.
Planning these routes is an important part of the installation. Alongside choosing where the units will sit, it helps establish how the finished system will look inside and outside the home.
Electrical connection and handover
We connected the electrical supply from the fuse board and provided an electrical certificate for the work. After completing the three-day installation, we removed all rubbish and left the property tidy, as always.
